Ask how they\u2019re looking to grow their dealer network. Ask, what type of dealers do they want? Are they even willing to add more dealers?<\/p><p>And if you\u2019re going to ask for an exclusive be prepared to let them know what marketing investment and order volume you\u2019ll guarantee to get this arrangement. Exclusives are extremely hard to come by.<\/p><h2><strong><em>Section 4 \u2013 Ask what the shower wall panel is made of, it\u2019s history, it\u2019s size, the thickness of the panels, it\u2019s warranty, and it\u2019s pros and cons. <\/em><\/strong><\/h2><p>It\u2019s always possible to find a cheap product. Just go to your local home center and you\u2019ll find a \u2018bevy\u2019 (and isn\u2019t that a funny word?) of them.<\/p><p>But the problem with the cheapest wall panels is they\u2019re usually available at the home centers and it\u2019s harder to sell the value of your professional installation service when homeowners see the cheap material prices from big-box stores.<\/p><p>So, start by asking about the composition of the shower wall panel. Ask how it\u2019s been tested and how long it\u2019s been on the market. While great products can be new products \u2013 you need to consider if you\u2019re confident in the new material and it\u2019s installation. Will the panels be wide enough on the sides to cover 36\u201d deep fiberglass one piece units which have flanges on the end you\u2019d like the wall panels to cover to speed up the installation.<\/p><p>You\u2019ll find \u2018full sheet glue up\u2019 panels and a growing mix of \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/innovatebuildingsolutions.com\/product\/laminate-diy-shower-bathroom-wall-panels\/\">click-together\u2019 panels<\/a> which are simpler to maneuver even if you have a one-man crew.<\/p><p>Also \u2013 ask about the warranty. Does the manufacturer or supplier provide a better warranty through their installed dealer network than through other channels.<\/p><p>And don\u2019t forget to ask about not only the \u2018pros\u2019 \u2013 but also the \u2018cons\u2019 of systems you\u2019re considering.<\/p><h4><strong><em>The reality is wall panels are like people. They ALL have their strengths and weaknesses! <\/em><\/strong><\/h4><h2><strong><em>Section 5 \u2013 Ask how long it takes to get product. <\/em><\/strong><\/h2><p>Let\u2019s face facts. Even though your prospect has waited 25 years to remodel their bathroom they want it <em>NOW<\/em> -or in as short an amount of time as they can get it after the \u2018ink\u2019 (or digital signature) is dry on the contract.<\/p><p>And perhaps they really do need it quick. Maybe mom is coming home from the hospital and it\u2019s no longer safe to climb over the tub rail. Also ask \u2013 what products do they offer if you need <a href=\"https:\/\/innovatebuildingsolutions.com\/product\/laminate-diy-shower-bathroom-wall-panels\/\">custom-sized wall panels<\/a> or a <a href=\"https:\/\/innovatebuildingsolutions.com\/product\/solid-surface-shower-wall-panel-base-kits\/\">custom shower pan<\/a>, and how long these will take to get.<\/p><h2><strong><em>Section 6 \u2013 Dig into the installation and determine:<\/em><\/strong><\/h2><ul><li><strong>How the shower wall panels are installed. <\/strong><\/li><li><strong>What tools are required. <\/strong><\/li><li><strong>How the product is waterproofed. <\/strong><\/li><li><strong>What support is available from the supplier. <\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Consider IF you\u2019ll have the support of your team (or subcontractors) to do the job. <\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>While you might find a super-cheap wall panel system made overseas \u2013 you may also find there\u2019s ZERO installation or customer service support.<\/p><p>And if you\u2019re installing their wall panel system for the first time, you\u2019ll have questions.<\/p><p>See if you can get installation videos (as well as written installation instructions \u2013 which of course, you know it\u2019s nearly impossible to get your installers to read!) to make it simpler for the team (whether you\u2019re self-performing or subcontracting the install) to do the work. After all, it\u2019s NOT an excellent product unless it\u2019s a high quality installation.<\/p><p>The reality is if you\u2019re operations team fights you tooth and nail to get the new line launched \u2013 you\u2019d need the upper-level leadership team\u2019s help to get the product going.<\/p><h2><strong><em>Section 7 \u2013 Ask what design options are available?
