Benefits of a Kitchen Remodel through Cleveland Design & Remodeling

Successful Kitchen Remodeling Involves Clear Communications
Ask good questions first. Kitchen remodeling begins by learning more about how you and your family use the kitchen. Who does the cooking? What goes into meal preparation for your family? Do you require a kitchen table or would an island be sufficient? What other activities happen in your kitchen (doing homework, paying bills, using the computer, watching TV, listening to music, entertaining, etc.)? What do you dislike about your kitchen today?
Free estimates and a straightforward approach. First we begin by learning how you want to use your kitchen and what style(s) excite you. Then we want to turn your thoughts into an exciting design that meets your budget.
Be professional and clear with any changes. During the construction process you may want to add some new element or upgrade an original selection. We use a written change order process so that everything is clear and price these changes fairly.
Quality Products
Using only high quality products for your project. Quality is important for the long run of your project. We do not skimp on the materials we use to put your project together. Our goal is to provide you with innovative high-quality products (whether you want kitchen cabinets, countertops, appliances, flooring, etc.).
Products that work for people of all abilities. We are experienced with universal and accessible kitchen design principles to design spaces that work for grandchildren to grandmothers.
Choose a Highly Qualified Kitchen Remodeling Contractor
Continual learning to be our best. Our field and design staff is continually learning through trade shows, publications and seminars to stay on top of the trends and products in kitchen contracting and design.
Superior project coordination. Kitchen remodeling involves many different skills sets (including plumbing, rough and finish carpentry, electricians etc.) and many products (cabinets, countertops, appliances, and flooring). Our goal is to make things go well for you by having excellent people doing the work and dependable suppliers to get materials to the site on time.
Our Construction & Renovation Approach
What you don't see matters as much as what you do see. What is behind the wall (the framing, wiring, plumbing work) makes the difference in the longevity of the project. We care about the structure as much as the outward appearance.
We care personally. When we are chosen to do a kitchen remodeling project we appreciate that we've been invited to work in your home. With this invitation goes the responsibility to be repectful and communicate well with you. We care personally to deliver a high quality project for you.
Quality is in the details. Craftsmanship will make the difference in the long run and bring customers back to us. We understand this responsibility and will do our best to deliver a high quality project.

- Products
Kitchen products to make the space distinctive: cabinets, countertops, appliances, flooring, and lighting
Choosing the right products can be a key element in having a functional and stylish finished space. Listed below are the primary products used in kitchen remodeling projects.

Kitchen cabinets and decorative hardware. Cabinets are usually the largest expense associated with a kitchen remodel and are available in many materials and styles (arched, beadboard, flat panel, raised, recessed, etc.). Consider how you want the cabinets to function and what style of kitchen you'd like (contemporary, country, formal, traditional, etc.). Some of our cabinet lines include KraftMaid, Merillat, StarMark, and Saco Industries. Decorative handles or pulls can also add a distinctive touch.

Kitchen countertops. Choosing the right countertops can add style, elegance, and improved function. Our choices include laminate, granite, solid surface, cultured marble, tile, and quartz from manufacturers like Silestone, Cambria, and Corian.

Appliances. Selecting dishwashers, refrigerators, ovens and ranges, ventilation hoods, and microwaves is an important task that will impact the design and budget of project. We can recommend potential suppliers who can coordinate these choices with your cabinets and countertops. Some popular manufacturers include KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Sub-Zero and Wolf, Jenn-Air, and Maytag.

Flooring. Kitchens need flooring that is easy to clean and attractive and complements the rest of the design. Some popular flooring options include wood, ceramic tile, vinyl, laminate, granite, bamboo, and marble.

Lighting. Nothing adds to the mood and improves the function of a kitchen more than lighting. To benefit from natural lighting, we will help you to incorporate additional windows (casement, picture, and transom windows are popular), a sliding patio door, or a skylight in your design. You can further improve looks and function with pendant lights, under-cabinet lighting, and recessed lights.

Kitchen sinks, faucets, and garbage disposals. When selecting a kitchen sink consider, its depth, ease of cleaning, likely uses, and style. The right faucet can greatly enhance the functionality of your kitchen as well. Choose from many finishes including stainless steel, chrome, and brushed bronze from popular manufacturers such as Kohler and Moen.
- Design Trends
Cleveland Kitchen Design Trends and Ideas
Maybe your kitchen doesn't embody the cool designs and multi-use layouts you've seen in magazines, on the Internet, or in model homes. You'll find listed below some of the top trends for this important room.

Cabinetry. Cherry and maple cabinets (while still very popular) are losing ground to oak, birch, and bamboo. Timeless and universally appealing styles like Traditional and Shaker remain very popular, with French country kitchens on the rise. Unchilled wine storage will be a more common kitchen feature. Slow-closing cabinet doors will be installed more frequently, providing increased safety for kids and increasing the life of the cabinets.

Appliances. According to the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), stainless steel kitchen appliances will continue to be leading sellers. French door and side-by-side refrigerators will grow in popularity.

Faucets. Pull-out faucets commonly are replacing standard faucets with detached spray heads. Polished chrome is coming back as a popular finish.

Countertops. Granite and quartz countertops will continue to be the most frequently installed in kitchen remodeling projects, but solid surfaces are on the uprise. Butcher block and marble surfaces have growing numbers of fans.

Backsplashes. Glass backsplashes are gaining popularity, although ceramic tile is still installed the most often.

Cooktops. Induction cooktops will become more popular due to the increased safety they offer, as opposed to gas and electric models.

Colors. Expect to see more gray, beige, bone, white, off-white, and green colors, because of their association with eco-friendly design and sustainability.

Kitchen size. According to the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA), kitchens will grow larger due to the increased interest in cooking and home entertaining. (Dining rooms will get smaller as kitchens grow larger.)

Flooring. Sealed hardwood floors (as well as renewable, eco-friendly flooring like cork and bamboo) or tile floors with radiant heat systems are trendy choices that also represent lasting value.

Cooking islands and peninsulas. Because the kitchen often serves as the hub of the home, the installation and use of islands and peninsulas will increased. These high-functioning food prep areas also work for entertaining, dining, and gathering.

Sustainable and eco-friendly products. Sustainable products that are environmentally friendly will grow in usage. Items like water-conserving faucets, bamboo floors, and energy-saving appliances will be seen in greater numbers.

Universal design kitchen. More spaces will be designed to be useable by people of all abilities (from grandchildren to grandparents). Improved accessibility, function, and safety are features of kitchen products including pull-out storage, C-style drawer pulls, roll-under sinks, remote control range hoods, and high toe kicks.

Lighting. The right lighting is crucial to kitchen safety as well as to setting a mood. Trends in kitchen lighting include energy-efficient LEDs, recessed lighting, interior cabinet lighting, and transoms between cabinets and countertops that bring in natural light.
