Your EnduraPan shower base should always be installed before the backer board system (or shower surrounds) which’ll go above your shower base

You’ll want to add a bead of silicone between the shower pan and your tile or grout free wall surrounds.

Since an EnduraPan has integral flanges it cannot be cut to fit a particular sized opening.

However, if the opening is bigger you maybe to able to reframe the shower alcove to be smaller to fit the EnduraPan. If this option isn’t possible, then consider a trimmable shower pan, like the InnovaStone engineered stone bases which come in 10 sizes and 5 colors.

Yes, the EnduraPan can be used with any type of grout free wall panels, tile, or stone shower walls.

Yes, either surface is fine.

You can use a mild detergent diluted in water to clean an Endurpan shower base. Never use scouring pads or other strong solvents.

A big reason to choose a grout free shower pan – like the EnduraPan is to save countless hours cleaning the grout (not to mention mold issues) with a tile shower pan.

Yes, it’s OK to use hair dye with an EnduraPan – but you will want to thoroughly rinse and clean the shower pan when you’re done.

EnduraPans are warrantied to now crack, discolor, or bow.

You’ll find the initial purchase price of an EnduraPan is slightly more expensive than a ‘store-bought’ fiberglass or acrylic pan – however it’ll be far sturdier, not require a ‘mortar bed’ underneath it, and have a far-longer warranty (and after all since the shower pan is the foundation of your entire shower system – and if it fails, everything above it will likely need to be removed), it’s smart to have a durable base you can count on to last!

EnduraPans, on the other hand, will be less expensive than engineered stone, solid surface, and custom tile pans.

Since EnduraPans are carried in inventory  they arrive within 2 weeks from the placement of an order.

It absolutely will. Tile shower pans are not only time-consuming to install – but specialized tile- setters are expensive. An EnduraPan can be installed by a handyman or a DIY’er (however, make sure whomever is installing your base, is also qualified to properly hook up the plumbing).

SMC stands for Sheet Molding Compound. It’s a strong composite material reinforced with glass fibers to create a durable shower base that feels solid and warm under your feet. 

EnduraPan is specifically designed to provide a more solid feel than cheap, lightweight acrylic or fiberglass shower pans. Its glass-fiber reinforced SMC construction adds strength and stability to the base. This base will be sturdier than acrylic or ‘store-bought’ fiberglass systems.

EnduraPan shower bases have a 3″ high curb. This low-profile base provides enough room for water to pool if the drain is clogged, yet is low enough for an age in place shower.

EnduraPan shower bases are currently available in white.

Depending on the size, EnduraPan bases are available with left-side, right-side or center drains. 

The 60″ x 30″ and 60″ x 32″ models are available with left- or right-side drains, making them a time-effective choice for tub-to-shower conversions to save on installation labor costs.

Yes. The 60″ x 30″ and 60″ x 32″ EnduraPan bases are available with left- and right-side drain locations which work well for many common bathtub replacement projects. 

Using a base with a drain location similar to your existing tub reduces plumbing work and will save you money.

EnduraPan shower bases are backed by a 10-year warranty. If the base becomes defective a new pan will be provided to you.

Yes, all EnduraPans are pre-sloped so water won’t pool inside the shower pan – unlike you may fine with site-built tile shower pans.

No, EnduraPan’s are only made in standard sizes with standard drain locations (center drains and side drains consistent with tub to shower conversions). If you need a custom size, drain location, or roll in shower consider a solid surface shower pan, a fiberglass ramped shower pan, or a standard sized InnovaStone pan with a ramp kit from the Innovate Building Solution lines.

An EnduraPan weighs 22 lbs. and can be installed by one person.

Unfortunately – this will likely not be possible, because in many cases the wall surrounds overlap with the shower pan – so if the shower pan fails the walls, doors, niches etc. above it also have to go! Ouch. This is why using a durable, well-built pan is smart to ensure a shower system which is built to stand the test of time.

Since you’re EnduraPan will be installed inside the ‘rough framed’ walls – the best time to measure is when the old shower has been replaced. If this isn’t possible, then you’ll need to measure inside the existing tile, acrylic, or fiberglass shower and estimate the thickness of the wall backer boards and wall surround materials on the side(s) to develop an approximate size. Or you can ask your professional contractor or an Innovate Shower Design Specialist to help.

You’ll need a drain which works with a 2” drain pipe for your EnduraPan. A color matching round white strainer cover is included with the shower pan (note – you can also replace this drain cover with your own round strainer cover in a different finish if you’d like). A shower drain kit can be added to your order for an extra charge.
