Melany Calderon

Hi!! I’m the Marketing Associate for Innovate Building Solutions. I focus on creating content and building strategies that highlight our products in fresh, engaging ways. I love finding new approaches to show the value and possibilities behind what we offer. I graduated with a degree in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with friends—whether on the pickleball or basketball court—or binge-watching one of my many favorite shows (I rarely go a day without an episode). And fair warning: once you start a conversation with me, I’ll keep yapping!

What I love about this business?

The support and guidance I’ve received since joining has been amazing, and I’m grateful to work with such a great team. I’m also fascinated by the customer mindset—seeing who engages with what through social media and how our content sparks interest always keeps me curious.

My favorite movies or music

Movie-wise, The Greatest Showman tops my list, with the Deadpool movies close behind. My all-time favorite shows are The Flash and Grey’s Anatomy (I’ve watched both about five times from start to finish). Music is a huge part of my life—I’ll listen to almost anything, but Latin music, especially Bad Bunny, will always win. (And yes, if you have extra concert tickets, I’ll happily take them!)

Little known facts

• Spanish is my first language—I’m Dominican and Colombian.
• My family owns a coffee farm in the DR, and I used to own a horse.
• I started college as a Mechanical Engineering major (still not sure why).
• I played basketball for a year in college, and while I always wanted to play field hockey, I injured my back senior year of high school.
• I also worked at a golf course for five years, which gave me the chance to pick up golf—clubs and all (just don’t ask about my score).
