Sizes

You can choose from square blocks in 6 x 6 x 2", 6" x 6" x 3", and 8" x 8" x 2", and 8" x 8" x 3" dimensions or design with a completely sealed triangular shape. Vinyl framed windows use 2" acrylic block thicknesses while aluminum framed windows use 2" & 3" block thicknesses.

1.) Are acrylic block windows available in fixed and operable styles? Where are some of the best places to use these windows?
We carry a wide range of opening styles, and whether you choose a fixed or operable window will likely depend on its location in your home. You might want a fixed window above a soaking tub; a casement, or crank out, window in your kitchen or basement; and a single-hung style ( which opens up and down) in a bedroom. Home offices, garages, hallways, foyers, and basements are some popular places to use these windows. Other styles we offer include slider (which open side to side) awning (which open from the bottom up) and hoppers (which open in).

Some additional options include radius (round top) and eyebrow (arch top) windows.

2.) What frame colors do you offer? Can you install this product in imperfect openings? Can you make my windows larger?
Our vinyl frames come in white or tan, while our aluminum frames come in painted white, painted tan, painted bronze, or clear anodized. If you want larger windows or you have imperfectly sized openings, we can install an H mullion or head/frame/sill expander to make your project work.

3.) I would like to protect my home furnishings against too much sunlight or use the sunlight to improve my home’s energy-efficiency. Do you have any offerings to fix this problem?
Yes. The E3 SunBlock option combines the best of both worlds – solar heat reduction and the improved insulation of a triple-glazed sash. It is Energy Star qualified in most areas and is suitable in new construction (in standard sizes) or as a replacement (available by special order).

4.) Do you offer any architectural decorative art glass windows? What level of privacy do they provide?
If you're looking for a way to "dress up" a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, or hallway, our line of designer art glass may be just what you've been looking for. These triple-glazed, tempered units not only add dramatic architectural style to any room, but they also work well in wet spaces like kitchens and baths. If privacy is a concern, we can add an obscure outside  texture – you will not need drapes or blinds for these windows. They come in oval, octagon, square, and rectangular shapes; a wide range of patterns; and with decorative caming secured in the middle layer.

5.) Do you have a basement egress acrylic block window?
If you're looking to meet or exceed building code requirements for an egress window (which require an operable window space of 5.7 square feet or larger) with a high degree of privacy and contemporary look an acrylic block casement window is an excellent solution. If you don't have enough space to meet an egress requirement consider a slider or hopper style.

6.) Are these units hard to install? Can they be installed in replacement and new construction projects?
SInce these units are light weight they are easier to handle than traditional glass block windows. Vinyl frames are manufactured with integral nailing fins, for the rough openings of new construction, or without, for replacement projects.

 

7.) What can you tell me about the quality of your line? How do I know they will stand the test of time?
We use the highest quality of acrylic blocks, mechanically applied sealant, and sturdy aluminum and vinyl frames and back our product with a 10-year limited warranty.

8.) Do you offer any privacy windows that don't require the removal of the existing window?
Yes. Our privacy block shutters are made of a cellular PVC composite and are installed on the interior side of a existing window. Popular in bathrooms, home offices, and bedrooms, our privacy block shutters. This product installs like a shutter in about 20 minutes and will not only increase privacy but also will reduce glare, damage from UV rays, and brightness.
